Governance Practitioner

This professional qualification comprises of three learning programmes, Candidates wanting to acquirer the Governance Practitioner professional qualification will have to successfully complete all three programmes.
Programme 2
NQF Level 6
This programme is the second step to completing the CGISA Governance Practitioner professional qualifications. It provides the student with a level of knowledge and skill that is required for management, administration and governance positions in the practical work place while still having an understanding of the CGISA philosophy and operational requirements. It also provides a step to a higher level of learning in governance, administration and finance, and widens the learner’s opportunities for advancement.

This programme is the third and final step to completing the CGISA Governance Practitioner professional qualifications. It is a broad-based qualification with the emphasis on governance, administration and strategic issues in both public and private sectors.

Programme 1
NQF Level 5
This programme is the first step to completing the CGISA Governance Practitioner professional qualifications. It provides the student with practical knowledge and competence in highly developed numeracy and literacy skills for the workplace that can be applied in a variety of entities as well as acquiring impeccable organizational skills. It also provides a step to a higher phase of learning in governance, administration and finance, and widens the learner’s opportunities for advancement.

Admission Requirements
Senior Certificate with English and a numeracy subject (e.g. mathematics, accountancy or science) - with a minimum rating of 4 for each of these key subjects. OR Equivalent qualification

Candidates that successfully complete the Governance Practitioner programme can advance their studies and choose to complete the Board Level programme. Under this programme, candidates will choose to complete either the Company Secretary  professional qualification or the Governance  Professional professional qualification.
